Prior to opening Carreras Law, P.A., Ashley was an Associate Attorney with a well-known family law attorney in Coral Springs, Florida. Prior to that, Ashley was a Senior Attorney with the Florida Department of Children and Families where she advocated for children who were abused, abandoned, and neglected and gained a substantial amount of litigation experience representing the State of Florida in court.
Ashley has experience in matters such as divorce, child custody, parenting time, child support, modification/enforcement, and paternity.
Ashley graduated cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law. While in law school provided pro-bono legal services to asylum seeking families in Karnes, Texas. During her time in law school, Ashley gained a substantial amount of experience interning with the United States Air Force JAG Corps; Miami Dade Children’s Court House as a judicial intern; and the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Alex is an associate attorney at Carreras Law, where he focuses on family law matters including divorce, paternity, relocations, child support, alimony, timesharing, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. With extensive experience representing clients in both Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, Alex is a skilled advocate who guides his clients through every stage of litigation and mediation.
Alex holds a Philosophy degree from Florida International University and earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Society and held leadership roles in both the Criminal and Family Law Societies. His early legal experience includes interning with the Guardian Ad Litem Program and working at NSU’s Children and Family Law Clinic. Previously a Senior Attorney for the Florida Department of Children and Families, Alex has dedicated his career to protecting the interests of children and families in complex legal matters.
